I recently added a very nice little pipe to my keeper frame. A lovely little Ohio pipestone Hopewell platform pipe. It's got a touch of restoration to the rim and a spot on the base, but it's loaded with patina and has a decent pedigree. It's been drilled at both ends which happens on about 10% of pipes.

When they had had enough smoke for a vision, they just set it down and it didn't fall over. Genius.
That is one fine little pipe! Bravo.

A Hopewell Pipe with a carburetor. lol

Nice Pipe Joshua. I bet that cost you a pretty penny.

Thanks, I like it a lot. The carburetor option is pretty common on pipes, here is one that I picked up at one of Bennett's auctions. And a better view of the platform pipe's carb.

That is so cool. I used to wonder briefly long time ago who came up with that idea. Those guys really had some neat mixtures for their pipes. They were like tobacco aficandos of today.
Nice Hopewellians for your collection.
