No this cache was found in the past few days. I put it on the coin forum and it was moved to todays finds.

Thanks for the PM, sorry I upset you. I made the '1989 joke'(my bad) after you posted the other hoard & admitted to finding it some time ago. Most members find that roughly 1 week is acceptable in the 'Today' finds but most stuff outside of that are normally posted elsewhere for obivious reasons.
I have seen it a number of times when new posters put all their great finds (& these 2 hoards are GREAT finds) in the 'Todays' even when they took years to get them, with very little story to go with it. I think you can understand why many members would not find this good edicate.
Its just the standards of each forum that dictate where to post, at least your now back on track. Don't let my flippant/jokey remark bother you, there are plenty worse to come. On this type of passionate forum your going to see all sorts. I look forward to seeing more of your finds & good luck.

Congrats on the cache find! I know the feeling as I found one last year. Mine only had 21 silver coins, unlike the 70 some you found, but mine also had Barber halves, walkers, and barber, standing liberty, and washington quarters. The dates on mine ranged from 1897-1936. Actually, my coin cache is featured on the cover of the new Silver and Gold issue from W&E Treasures. Welcome to the club!

WOW, now that's what I'm hopin' to find someday! Can you tell me what kind of a signal you got from a find like that? Did the detector go crazy loud? Did you realize it was larger than normal? I probably would have thought it was a soda or beer can and never dug it. Nice goin' Deputy Dave. We have a deputydawg on our NY prospector site. I got excited whe, I thought you were him; but nope. :occasion14: Keep diggin', Dug1898
