Digging bottles in a 1950's New England bottle dump. The old homesite goes back to the 1800's, and the surrounding land used to be fields. Now it is overgrown with trees, brush, and remnants of past life remain scattered throughout the property. The bottle dump is huge, it covers a large amount of area, and makes it's way down a hill into the swamp. I found a lot of old rusty beer cans from the 1940's to 1960's and some nice old bottles too. I found soda bottles, a milk bottle, a spring water bottle, and some nice old shards. It was a great day for bottle digging, and I walked away with some nice finds.
