After such a poor day yesterday I had to get back out & try anywhere nearby, as Cru'dad was away. I went out in the morning on my bike & found a field that had only just been drilled with Winter Wheat. It wasn't a site but I have had the odd good find from it, so after lunch I kitted up & cycled my stuff to the field. I only did 3.5 hours but I'm very pleased with the result, specially for a low priority field, real low!!!:laughing7:

I hate to see a beautiful Denarius coming up broken.... :BangHead: The marketeer who lost the F&I coin weight travelled far...

Very nice finds again! :icon_thumleft: Those coins look so darn cool!

I know, lovely quality - plough destroyed.

The F&I is an English produced Coin Weight used for a Foreign Coin.

I would be happy if those were my finds for a year. Amazing CRU

Hi crusader , even a pre 1860 shilling is a good silver find . I was surprised that no one said anything about your silver George 111 coins in your resents posts .TP

True, I get less of these than hammered, & a Shilling is a big denomination that is even rarer to find. One of those Geo III's was in really nice shape as well.

Very nice Cru. Sorry to see the broken denarius but you have a “few” complete ones. Nice medieval buckle too
