HI all,
A friend of mine called me Saturday morning and wanted to know
if my metal detector would find metal fence posts. I said sure
if they weren't to deep. He said that he hit one last week while
mowing the field. He had to replace the tire and it cost him
$125. He said if he hit the metal fence post again with his combine
tire it would cost over $1000 to replace it.
I said I would be right over and we headed for the field. I used my
old Fisher 235. I usually use it for finding property stakes and always
use this machine when I go to planted hunts.
Well we found the fence post that caused the trouble, plus another one
that he had hit earlier. I left the detector with him and told him to have at
it. We also found 3 horseshoes and a buggy step, and several pieces of
wire fence the could puncture a tire.
