I went down to the river near me and in spite of it being high, I managed a few cool relics and a token that gave me a heart attack. Imagine gold in the hole.
Very cool history on the token. The age seems to be unknown but I am getting pre 1950.
The token is The Cathedral Church of St John The Devine. New York. Souvenir of Pilgrimage.
Catholic iconic symbols on the back and the church on the front.
If anyone has anything interesting on it please let me know.
The buckle has some writing on it but I can't make it out. I need to work on cleaning it a bit more.
Any thought on age?
Drawer pull, marble, and a bit of clad.

I wished I could have heard your heartbeat when you dug the heart breaker. :tongue3: I bet it shot up off the chart. Cool find even though it wasn't gold.

Yes Loco, I wanted to do the old west "bite the gold coin" test but it was found in about 8 inches of muck.

I cleaned the buckle and I think I can make out 2 words.
"Something" BRONZE.
And by something I mean I can't read the first word.

Wow...I certainly would have skipped a few beats myself! I thought it WAS gold when I first saw it. But it is a very cool token, great save! Ddf
