Had two disappointing hunts at Druid recently and just have to give that place a rest.
After a good day of work I headed out late to Rockfield Park in Bel Air where the Harford County Wine Festival was winding down.
Back in the woods, I went back to where I had found a button, large cent, and half cent. Today's results were very satisfying.
First target was a 'toasty' flat button, then came the 1901 Winchester Repeater head stamp. Next two targets were a musket ball and an ornately carved piece of brass. On my way out I dug a modern dime and then an older copper ring, that was likely gold-plated in its day. All-in-all an enjoyable two-hours hunt with some free music from the Wine Festival.
