Found this today on a Little League field in right behind first base. Might be gold foil or gold plated but I'm not sure.

Nice find. I like hunting the ball fields. Lots of religious items there. Baseball players tend to be very superstitious, and as a result, sometimes quite religious. I'm no expert on gold or gold plating so i can't really answer that question.
