I couldn't remember if they said reset it or redo the update.
But I am sure a new screen is needed and cost quite a bit guess.
I bought this second hand and it may still have a warranty if I am lucky.

EDIT:
I did get the receipt with it from 2016 so should be able to get the warranty.

LOL I just remembered the fix it was the CONTRAST setting.
Why the CONTRAST causes a blotch I wouldn't know but put it to 5 and the BLOTCH went away.
It must of came with patch 5.21? and changed my CONTRAST setting.

Glad to hear that it's a fix... ??
I'll check mine when I get a chance.
But my Deus is around 7 years now, so I don't know if that would make a difference.

Update almost always pushes contrast to 10 for some reason. Freaks a lot of people out after they update.

If you can make the blotch pretty much go away after lowering it, I wouldn't worry about it. More things can go wrong in the process of "fixing" it that if it functions ok otherwise, I would recommend just ignoring it. Of course, if it seems to be getting worse, then consider getting it repaired under warranty.
