New detector. Basically a larger coil covers a larger area at once and maybe adds a little dept. But you have to realize you are just putting the same signal into a larger coil. It will also be harder to pinpoint a target. My two cents worth, Frank

I just sent back a mpx series detector. wife thought it was an American model but it's obviously Chinese. Was a cheesy looking the detecter to say the least.hit on everything under the Sun.They are allowing me.to upgrade to a minelab 305. Must pay difference of course. I don't mind though MPX was a piece of junk for the 300 dollars my wife paid. am I making the right choice??

I have never owned a Minelab, but they have a good reputation. They are made in Australia. Frank hand print-2_edited-5.jpg
