I everyone, I have a question. Let's say I have a "treasure cove" metal detector, $179 amazon.com special, I got as a gift. The stock search coil crapped out after a couple ventures, it has a 5 pin DIN push in plug for the coil. I looked online to find other larger spider search coils or other d types or smaller gold hunting coils, but if I get one that has the right plug and it fits right into my device, , will it work? I will worry about the mounting bracket possibly not fitting later. In the meantime, I'm not going to buy a professional metal detector until I get to use this device I already have to find some trash on the beach. Maybe a few coins. Thanks

You will run into two problems. Even if the connector is correct, it may be wired different and you also must get a coil that is the same frequency as your detector. Good luck and HH!
