Took a long lunch yesterday and made a half dollar run at a few banks I hadn't tried before, was well worth it

Found 6 silver halves out of 34 rolls and $59 in loose halves.
2 - 1964
2 - 1965
1 - 1968-D
1 - 1969-D

Four of the silvers were in the $59 in loose halves from a coin counting machine. They counted it in the back room and then brought it up to the counter. The teller even mentioned that they saw some silver in there while counting it. Always nice when they point that out and still sell it to you. :)

While her boss was in the back counting the halves I asked the teller what they did with the foreign coins they find. Since she didn't know, I mentioned that sometimes banks have just given them to me since they would otherwise just throw them out. So when she went back to get the halves she also looked in the cup containing foreign coins and gave me all 9 of those as well.

The foreign coins are in the picture, they are:
England, 50 Pence (1997)
Germany, 5 Pfennig (1981)
Thailand, 5 Baht (???)
Thailand, Baht (???)
Thailand, Baht (???)
Thailand, Baht (???)
Ireland, 5 Pence (1996)
France, 5 Euro Cent (1999)
Italy, 2 Euro Cent (2002)

If anyone can read the date on the Thai coins let me know.

While buying $100 in half dollar rolls at the US Bank - Southdale, the teller commented that she had a customer that bought $1000 worth of half dollars every two weeks. Just curious, is that someone on here?

I bought a 1962-D Roosevelt that I spotted in one tellers dime bin.

And last but not least, I picked up another box of pennies which contained 13 wheat pennies
1 - 1941
1 - 1943 <-- steel penny
1 - 1944-D
1 - 1950
2 - 1952-D
1 - 1953-D
1 - 1955-D
4 - 1956-D
1 - 1958-D

Also found a 1918 wheat penny in change at lunch today (1/12).

Oh I thought I'd share a picture of the "Lincoln smoking" penny.
