RESULTS FROM 12 HOURS...Need ID on 2 odd coins.

HEY GUYS AND GALS

This the results from 12 hrs hunting time total from the last 3 days.

Turned up a few nice finds...but needed to hunt in DISCRIM mode to pick them outta the junk.

The 2 coins that need an ID are COUSIN EDs.....

1ST one is the small coin with the regular penny beside it...is in rough shape... but is the 1st copper I have seen that was smaller than a penny...odd pattern as well.

2ND one is the big copper ?...maybe bronze ?...it looks like a very animated bird ..almost Egytian like ...or Indian.


Also a few other pieces need identifying if you have any ideas ...ty all very much for the help.

Ed's coins are cool, the small one could be Austrian or German, the eagle kinda reminds me of some their coinage; the big one clearly says One Penny Token on one side with a seated Britannia on the other(1812 token)

The small coin has a ribbed edge same as a dime..but is copper--1st time I have seen that.

Has been very nice here last 3 days.

That's the one I was thinking of. Although there's a variation of it that matches his, I found a description, but no pic

i,m at a loss here---when I blow up the pic--it looks like a animated bird standing....lol--I know that is far frm what your saying it is...butt that is what i see !!!!

On the large copper, it says One Penny Token surrounded by oak and laurel branches intertwined ( are the branches what you're seeing as wings?) reverse side has a seated justice (Britannia figure)

The smaller copper has what looks like to me the eagle represented on older european coins of Austria/Hungary/Germany or the such

I'm not on a computer at the moment, copy, pasting and adding supporting links is not easy with the mobile version of this site for me either

What can I say, it is what it is
The salt is unkind to coins and the corrosion can create an illusion of something else I guess, having seen and found some the those I see what is supposed to be there, but I don't see chickens or totem poles, I realize that is what you might see but it isn't either of those

I see something like this... I can't see a bird but sometimes tokens are struck over other ones of different varieties and maybe that is a design from another token undertype?
