Met my goal today of searching 25,000 pennies. That is 20 boxes worth. Took a while, and since I had to roll every one of them back up, imagine how long that took! :P

Found 4,228 coppers, which is approx. 17%. At todays value, it is approx. $97.00.

Found 47 wheaties, which is approx. .19% (poor I think)

Found 10 Roosevelt dimes

Found 4 Canadian cents (rather low I think)

and got 2 Euro 2 cent coins.

Not one Indian head penny, but I didn't really think I'd find one anyway.

FYI. 25,000 pennies is only 10 boxes worth.

I have been averaging around 8-10 wheaties per 2500 pennies searched this year. Last year I was averaging around 12 per 2500 pennies searched. I think my numbers last year were a result of 2 -3 really good boxes (50+ wheaties). I haven't had a box like that yet this year.

You certainly searched a lot of pennies, scotto. I am very impressed. But I am also very surprised you didn't find more wheaties. Are they really starting to become that rare? 47 out of 25,000! I remember when they were so common I wouldn't even bother to pull them. Sounds like you just got unlucky. Nevertheless, big kudos. I'd hate to see how dirty your hands must get searching all those pennies. :) Again, well done. Oh yeah, aren't those dimes in the cent rolls such a nice surprise?
