All my finds cleaned up finds today. Had a great day with some awesome people.
A King George III Hibernia one is a sand cast counterfeit very crude and in good shape. the other is King George II Hibernia counter stamped with X's on both sides & a King George III copper. Can anyone tell me what the brass piece is with letters? ( spanish 1/2 reale for size reference) looks 18th century to me and with so many Rev War items coming from this site I am wondering if it could be military? looks to be abbreviated ARTILLERY and also wonder if the ornate brass piece is a drawer pull or a fancy shoulder strap guide off a flint lock musket? A cool horse head and a nice silver faced bridle rosette and a broken bayonet frog. What a fun day! some of the other finds my friends dug were 2 neck stock buckles a French IX regiment pewter button shoe buckles knee buckles etc

Looks like it has some gold gilt. Can you enhance it by cleaning it? Naval jelly used to work good for me. Be careful not to leave it on too long....a few seconds.....and wipe it off. WEAR GLOVES as it is corrosive. REPOST! Should make banner.

Great Finds! Congrats on the Royal Artillery belt tip! Too bad it wasn't whole. There were only about 4-5 others known when I found mine. The rest are on Cartridge pouches in museums. You can see in my avatar what I sold my complete one for.
wow really? only 4-5 known? yeah I was bummed it's broke but also say half is better than none lol. I think it's just dirt in the lettering no gilt
