With a few fields still available I managed to get out on 3 different occasions. Nothing spectacular, but I believe the results are still very decent for the late season.

My most interesting finds were military buttons from 2 different periods and armies.

Revolutionary War 29th Regiment of foot. Not in the best condition, but not bad for a 240 years old pewter.

An other interesting button was this New York National Guard from 1840's.

A few copper coins from 1820's-1830's

An other US large cent. This one from 1829 counter stamped DEVINS & BOLTON MONTREAL

A huge Lower Canada 1837 penny. Only a 3rd for me.
20180514_185157.jpg 20180514_185140.jpg

A half penny of the same type. Much more common.

A scarcer half penny was this Banque du Peuple type. The bankers who put this coin in circulation went to jail in 1839 as they have financed the Patriots Rebellion of 1837-1839 with the money collected from the coin emission. (Patriots Rebellion was a failed attempt to challenge the British Government and was organised by the French Canadians. The help they were expecting from the US never came so it was doomed to fail).

An other half penny token. I believe 1820 type.
20180509_184658.jpg 20180509_184704.jpg

My first cast George II counterfeit.
20180511_145323.jpg 20180511_145204.jpg

My most beautiful crotal bell since I started detecting. Strangely the decorated types with the makers mark tend to elude me.
Was waiting for me under the leafs.
20180508_123939.jpg 20180508_190911.jpg 20180508_190801.jpg

A few nice early hunter's buttons.
20180514_184931.jpg

A handful of early coppers in a so-so shape.

And a nice bonus - Queen Victoria's dime.

Thanks for the comments.

That's a heck of a variety! And good close to Spring if that is the case. I think I'll take another shot at it for a few hours tomorrow.

Thanks IP. Good luck on your hunt. I'm sure some cool militaria is waiting for you in the field.

Thanks UnderMiner. We have a holiday on Mat 21st where I'm at. In the rest of Canada it's called Victoria's day and celebrates the queen' s birthday. Where as in Quebec it's called Patriots day and celebrates the Rebellion. So the effects of the Rebellion are long lasting.
