I imagine the last hunt of the year but who knows? Went out for 5 hours and found a spot that is looking promising; everything was deep. Posting a pic in "Todays Finds". Message me if you're interested in a hunt (or two or twelve). Sloppy mud below 6" but found 7 civil war bullets (many modern too), half a horseshoe, horse tack ring of some king other sundries.

Well, the "Battle of the Crater" was a bloody mess "back then"; MAY be some stuff outside "the Park" in P'burg "area"...

Well, INSIDE the National Park, (are we in a Gov't SHUTDOWN...?), the exact place of the BIG crater, would have a MASSIVE amount of Yank skeletons, uniforms, weapons, etc. Yanks went into the crater, instead of AROUND it as ordered; it became a "killing grounds" for the REBS; don't know if all of it was just covered over/buried or not... WORTHY of R & I, NOW!
