Drove over to Rifle Falls today, always a favorite place to take pics for me. Little far, but great place to camp, too. No campin last night, as early Monday morning there was a homicide across the street from us, while I was at work, about a hundred and fifty feet from where the wife and grandkids lay sleepin. Admittedly a very rare happening here but still a bad deal. Put up with cops on the scene (no canvassing the neighborhood, as they got the suspect), a long line of sightseers(nothin to see but cops and crime scene tape) then sat outside half the night just keepin an eye out for.....I don't know, makin sure the horses were safe and no hostiles lurkin around camp, I guess.
