The tides are getting lower so I'm trying to get in the water every day for a few hours until Tuesday. Yesterdays hunt was fantastic, off shore wind that kept the waves down and water lower a little longer. The Crackerjack toy gun was my first good find, its different from any other CJ Gun I've. ever seen. I have had hunts that I would be happy with that alone, but there was more. My next find wad a crackerjack ring in very good shape, thin with an Owl on it. Ironically I seem to have misplaced it before I could take a picture. It will turn up I'm sure. I moved about 100 yards to an area I've had luck at before. I like to use these very low tides to move things on the bottom that normally are too deep to see or reach, like huge pipes, stones and pilings that might block finding targets underneath. the targets were mostly trash until a very loud signal turned out to be a wheat penny. I started to search a 10 foot circle around the penny and found the charm bracelet. now the day was complete but you have to think there has to be more. Heading back towards shore as the tide was coming in I found the ring. With gloves on I put the finds in the pouch before I have a chance to drop it, so I didn't know what was on the inside until I was on the beach. "18K, BL 1917". The bracelet is brass probably plated when it was new. The two buddies I was with were so happy for me they tried to lock me out of the truck and leave me in the parking lot. That's when you know you had a very good day.

I miss hunting the low tides, or even any body of water that could be a swimming area. Last time I was able to do any of that was years ago. Love that ring. You know that’s got some history behind it
