Found my first ring today. Was detecting a old home built in 1776 with my AT Pro and out by the spring house I found this copper ring with some kind of stone in it. I have no clue how old it is...

MAYBE 100 YRS OLD (DONT BELIEVE IT WOULD BE MUCH OLDER THAN THAT )
- DOES IT HAVE ANY MARKINGS AT ALL IN IT?

No there are no markings that I can see on it.

Congratulations and let that be the first ring find of many to come. What was your VDI signal and depth of the ring find? Being copper maybe about 65 VDI? Sub 8-) ( A seasoned, cantankerous, tenacious, battered ATPro swinging, old finder of rings hidden in dirt.)

Thanks! The VDI was 64 and it was 6 inches deep.

It looks to be early to mid 1900's to me - Just an opinion though, not an expert by any means!
