Ringtown, Pa. – (AP) – An air mail plane, flying from Cleveland to Hadley field, Newark, N. J., caught fire and crashed on the side of Big mountain, three miles north of here this morning. The pilot, Thomas P. NELSON of North Plainfield, N. J., made a successful parachute jump and recovered five of the 15 mail bags in the machine. The other 10 pouches were burned in the fire which destroyed the plane. NELSON left Cleveland at 11:45 last night.
