This is the Hiwassee river , very close to where I grew up . I took these pictures on a scouting trip for metal detecting the other day . While at the last spot where my daughters picture is , we were loading up to go to a different spot when my daughter said " daddy , I hear hissing " . Well sure enough when I went to look I had a puncture in my passenger side front in the side wall . We had 4 wheeled into this spot and was about 15 miles from the nearest tire store so I took off out of there . On the way to town I tried callin 2 different tire stores but they where closed . On the way there was a WalMart so I pulled in there . 5 minutes after I got there it was sitting on the rim . I needed new tires anyways so I had them put 5 new tires on , so now I,m good to go for awhile . Thanx for looking

I have made the 'mad dash' for air myself a few times, with no spare, & a 'hissing sound'. :P
I used to take my kids 'beachcombing', we really enjoyed it , still do.

Thanks for sharing,
Fossis..........

That is close to home at one time 36 years ago. Culberson,NC . Not in that city of a post office and store but more near Ranger( Ghost Town) I got mail from Culberson.
Thanks for the pictures.
I only lived there 4 years and I was on the road much of the time Making it through Cleveland twice a week, to and from B'ham Al.
That road from Murphy,NC to Cleveland was beautiful, along that river with all the rapids. You get a chance, take some shots and show these folks, and me too.

Nice river pics... got a lot of floaters there?

Whew! It's gonna take a bit of detecting to cover 5 tires...
Good luck!
