Found in a gravel bed in a creek in the vicinity of Roanoke VA over the Thanksgiving holiday. I can't imagine this shape coming naturally or through erosion of a stone like this without the erosive force also polishing it somewhat. Any ideas on whether or not this is an indian artifact and if so what kind?

That is not what I said there mod. That your interpretation and a bad one at that. As far as a hijacking. You guys done made your point. If it a rock then I'm not hijacking. See you got it in for me and that's fine. Abuse of power. If your.not reading all this then how would you know.

Bob, first it is not a good idea to attack a mod. Your not discussing the OP's rock your discussing a rock you posted as being jesuit so yes it is hijacking.

Also you said "Take small pieces at a time. If you see two dots together it probably is eyes. Good luck"

Can we please get a new category for rock posts. Most of them turn out to be trollers and it would be better for everyone and would cause less bickering.

Geez backwood, eat a little more fiber in the morning. I think the mod needs to give you a timeout. It's a rock and long term members have put up with trolls and their disappearing acts for far too long. That's why everyone has had enough.

It is the representation of the horse in that one along with another I not sure of. Now in the third picture it's showing me the snake with the fangs. The second picture shows that there is a cave with three ways to get into it two of then are trapped and the one is a vertical shaft. The way to see this better is to use mineral oil on it. It will bring out some details on it. It also tell me that it is silver being hid. You other guys wonder how I got to this conclusion. Study signs and symbols of treasure. Put some time studio gand know your subjects. The person who made this stone work had knowledge of the code.

Do you often ponder...
When does a rock become more than a rock?
When does a rock become more than a stone?
When does a rock become merely a stone?
When does a stone become more than a stone?
When does a stone become merely a rock?
When does either become a large pebble?
When does either become a small boulder?

If I get nothing else out of these rock threads, at least they are entertaining

Some people are like Slinky's, Not good for much but will bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs.

What happened to the OP? I hope this isn't a troll.

If Cru goes to DC, let me know. I'll buy everyone lunch!
If this was my first post, I would have probably drop out to. He's probably laughing his @$$ off

I see it for what it is, a cow patty. My eye are good. Although I could post a stone that looks similar. Some can see what is meant to be seen. Others don't know what their looking for so they will make up something. There are real marking on the stones I comment on. If you want to learn this type thing. Start with a simple book. The rocks began to speak. It does get complex after that. Good luck and God Bless.

Some of you make a new person feel like they are dumb for asking a question. None of you guys bother me. Not all stones have something. But if you find one in a area there will be more in every direction.

No one made the OP look dumb…he asked if the odd shaped rock he found could be a native artifact and he was advised, very politely and very accurately that it is a natural rock with no indication of being worked by man.

So, no…no one made the OP look dumb…
