These are some really interesting formations. I would suggest that you map out the formations with accurate measurements. Take the compass readings of each formation as to the direction any / all faces, markings, and animals are facing. This will give you a good plan to work from in your research. Closer, better detailed photos of each formation's markings would help, too.

in your last picture it looks like you might have a 'hoyo' there.( window ) to look thru. if it is, someone on this forum can tell you what to expect. word of caution, read desertmoons post about too much information posted. tenclaw======

Hi Weekender. I think you've happened upon a settlement of sorts. In your first pic with 2 walls, wall to the right hand side resembles a sitting man. Your second picture, a tortoise facing left. Your other pics have too much going on in them to pin point anything of true interest. That last boulder looks like its resting quite dangerously on a couple of small stones - unnatural formation. Be careful there - looks like its put there to tumble over quite easily. Its an area that I'd pay more attention to as someone has gone to quite a bit of trouble there.

That split rock or walls. There were made for a purpose I bet. Is there a likely little campsite next to it? I sometime thinks they were used to shelter horses or slaves over night. Or..were used for counting something - like sending sheep through them.

Then again could be that is the campground shelter itself... Is there water near by?

Looks to me like you got something there. I like the walls, throw a cover over the top and you got a campsite. the rock that looks has the crawl space with the pointer, pointing in sure is interesting. that rock also has some signs on it, probably alot of signs. Take alot of pics from different angles, with a high pixel count, so you can see the sings and marks. I could see a flower, bird head, animal head on that rock alone. There will be more. map out the area. Get a deep searching detector in there and cover that yard of signs. ThomasP

Picture #1801 is a monument in itself.
Look at it as a whole, don't try to put smaller things in places where they may not be.
sometimes the smaller things make up a larger picture and the large picture is what they want you to see.

I was going to ask if the dates shown on the pictures was the actual date they were taken. LOL
does the monument seem to send you in a specific direction?

What do you see here?
Which way is it looking?
Is it taking you anywhere near that horse in the other Thread?

plehbah,
you said...

"Have you tried digging under all of those rocks with treasure signs?"

Everyone appreciates all the help we can get here, but remember the
basic premise...

If you see a road sign..that says 'Las Vegas' 50 miles....would you give the advice to
dig under the sign to find Las Vegas?

See what I am saying?

Didn't know for sure what he had said.
He never had any serious input before.
Now that I do know ... I am sure he is on ignore for a good reason.
LOL
About the "Vegas sign"
He probably would. That is the mentality he seems to want to project.

Well..just got a chance to really study your pics. Wow!

No expert here but ..I believe you are getting the local news here, not national news.
Starting out - you might start with the long ground snake or resting/sleeping guy whatever he might be. A couple faces or figures are looking at a face. That face is probably telling you to turn around and look at what it is looking at.
Since you are pretty new..that is something that is always fruitful for me. Cause they are usually looking at something touched by the man of hand and thats a good way to start learning what the markers look like.

I find the the rock propped up on smaller rocks real interesting and I would study what it is propped up on etc.

The second set of pictures great job following one to another!

The 1841 one looks like a sleeping bird to me.

1838 so very cool! I love the artistry on it.
Copy of PICT1838tnet.jpg

The last one.. I guess I would study the head of that and see if that is carving on there. That whitish rock in front of the tree I've seen before and it is not natural.

Aynway.. I would speculate that you would not want to go too far afield. Opinion only. Remember I am no expert.

I am so curious..is this east or west of the Mississippi? The figures are so similar to what I see here in the Southwest.

OD,
I kind of snickered at your snowy environment that you talked about the other day because I planed on going to one of my sites on Christmas eve. Of course, a blizzard hit here in Oklahoma and now I'm snowed in. Serves me right. Oh well, another day. Merry Christmas to you and all your family.

Seems as if you stumbled upon a stone man handling his "business" in the woods.....and by the looks of it he is not happy...
