Well, it's been a number of years since we have done a Roll Call Thread. I thought it would be kind of fun to see how many people are still CRH. The hay day was in 2011 and 2012, but let's see who is still doing this great hobby.

I'll start with how long I have been CRH, what denomination, and the location where I CRH.

I started collecting coins in the 70's, but didn't really get into CRH until 2010. I generally do boxes of half dollars and am from the great state and frozen tundra of Minnesota.

List how long you have been CRH, the denomination, and the state/region.

This should be a lot of fun.:icon_thumright:

Been CRH in heavy serious fashion since late 2011, but been collecting coins since the mid- 60's. Just wish I saved ALL that silver back then. I enjoy the hobby as a retirement pastime.

Hey Fist! Nice to see you, I had some incredible boxes this week, I'm going to try and do a post this Friday. Definitely my record for sure. Life has been a bit complicated so I know I've kinda been a stranger here for the last 6 months, I miss posting:BangHead: HH, Maverick.

Still around, been searching since 06. Working 10-11 hrs per night doesn't leave much time for anything else though.

Only been hunting for 3 years. Had a good year last year. This year is a different story. Last year I scored 16 solid CWR (no solid 90's). This year not one YET. The last 4 months have been terrible combined not even my per month average for the last 2 years. But, still at it doing 5-6 half boxes a week. My Maverick box is still out there and getting close.

This is my 5th year crhunting. Only one dream box so far but the stacks are growing. I've been keeping up my log but not posting much in the main forum. Keep on rolling.

I started many years ago even before I knew what it was. Here is my very first post on t-net dated Dec 12, 2006
===========================================================================
I am very new at CRH (I like that, didn't know what to call it) I live in So CAL and metal detect with an XLT.

One month ago somebody that I know innocently asked me if silver could still be found in loose change. I had never heard of CRH and thought about what he said. I figured that since I never saw Kennedy's any more and I could get them at the bank, odds were pretty good that there might be something. One week ago I went to the bank and asked if they had any rolls and the teller next to me spoke up and said they just got one box in. I didn't know what the box cost but said OK I will take it. I was surprised $500 could weigh so much.

It took me less than a week to go through and now I am hooked.
2 - 90% (one is a 1935 walking liberty)
4 - 40%
3 - BU in the 80s

and 1 plastic token that says "good for 1 drink" at a Shriners lodge that is about 15 miles away. (that roll still had a full $10)

I thought I would be one of the few with my new found hobby till I did a google search.

Well one more person to dilute the silver crop out there, sorry.

I buy mine at one bank where I have my savings account and deposit them at a credit union where I have a different account.

Has any one ever gotten any grief for bringing in a ton of coins? My credit union says I must roll all coins.

Dan
========================================
I stopped 99% of it when my daughter went into college. Started buying at yardsales and reselling. That put her through college. Can't do it very well now. I think my entire county has only 3-4 banks.

I was well over 1200 40% and a few hundred 90% halves.

Been at it for about 10 years. Got started after discovering this page while looking into metal detecting. that has morphed into yard sale and estate sale shopping. I also collect metal scrap, old cell phones, computers etc for recycling. I basically buy anything I think I can resell for a profit.

Been roll hunting since 2011. My best half box was 68 silvers, my best dime box was 7. Silver halves have disappeared in my neck of the woods, so I stopped searching. I still do dime boxes, though.
