Sitting on my back porch drinking coffee and watching as the sky lightened I childishly imagined finding 5 rings today. I hadn't been to the south end in several weeks and once I got there I remembered why. A few coins, junk jewelry and some trash.

About half way into my allotted hunt I walked up to the waters edge to take a break and crossed over a patch of sea grass. I normally don't go for signals in the sea grass because it's usually trash, but this sounded really good, even for the PI.

So after 3 scoops I see this yellow brilliance among the green, brown and tan. OMG!! I think to myself as I see the crown of the ring. Pulling out it from the mix I think, What the heck? It's a stinking giant toe ring. CRAP! CRAP! CRAP!

As I put it into the pouch, I'm thinking man that looks awfully good to be a piece of junk. I must of pulled it out of my pouch 10 times to look at it during the rest of my time there. I came to the conclusion that it could only be plated...if that.

Once I got to the car I checked it yet again and thought I saw something inside the band that looked pretty deliberate and straight. Oh man I think. I have got to start keeping a loupe in the car.

It was a long ride home and the first thing I did was check what I thought I saw and sure enough. "750" BABY!!

Tested 18K too and weighs 5 grams. The weight of the thing is in the cameo looking crown.

Sorry for the long narrative. Thanks for looking and good luck out there!

18k toe ring, now that's an owner who had money to burn. Congrats on scooping it up.

WTG! It looks like It would weight a lot more than 5 grams. From the picture it's a monster.
