Roman/Saxon Site - Day 4...

This was yesterday's 2 hour hunt by Cru'Dad. I stayed in nursing what I thought was a killer hangover, today I realise it was more than that so will try & get fit soon. I think it was the change down in gear from work to nothing, who knows, I hardly every get ill.

Anyway, Dad did OK with a few interesting finds:

1926 Silver Sixpence
4 Roman Coins
1st C AD Fibula
Cut out 'Farthing' Pendant
Livery Button (new type for us, I think)

Not really. I've had a few different versions. Some just the head cut out & no way of fixing it, so no idea why people would do that. Some like this cut & made into a pendant or jewelry. One theory is that it is trench art & I know some were done by soldiers to give to their loved ones or just done out of boredom.
Some turn up in the US, & I think they span both WW's but some are much later & much earlier. So
