RR Button & One needs a Date

HI ALL! The small cuff button is from circa 1907-1920 Winnipeg electric rail road.
But the 2nd button is of much earlier date I think ? Its a Flat button with STAND COLOUR TREBLE GILT with a siluette of a bird ??

Van Court's Transportation Uniform Buttons, Vol. II lists the Winnipeg Electric Railway button as c. 1917.

The gilt button likely dates c. 1820-40. Sometimes there's a very small, superscript d after STAND for standard. STAND COLOUR TREBLE GILT is what's called a "quality backmark" and refers to the button's metal finish. The spelling colour may indicate British manufacture; however, I believe that some American firms of that era may have used it as well. Usually, it's difficult or impossible to identify a manufacturer on the basis of a quality backmark alone.

Snow is starting to fly soon, and it dawnedon me that the topography of the area where I found the flat button c 1820-1840 is a flat bank on the rivers edge making it a perfect location for Canoe landing , I only hunted it for about 15 Min's. will head there this spring! Dang i should of hunted it this week
