I think like that every time I dig an old coin. Thats when your discovery bridges time. THAT IS the reason I love detecting. You connect to those who were exactly where you are today. I often wonder if they ever thought this far into the future and if they ever imagined a "future dweller" would find that coin.:icon_scratch:

I've found some pretty nice stuff here,it's been ploughed the last 3 years,it was decades since it was.

Congrats on a nice Silver find! For your info, Alcohol is pretty good for removing stains on Silver and Gold and I have never had Alcohol damage or alter the coins or items.
