I am so glad I found this site. I live on 30 acres that has so many artifacts I may never have to look anywhere else.
Clovis man hunted wooly mammoths in this area 10,000 years ago ago, over a dozen have been found within 50 miles.
I have found over 3 coffee cans of pottery shards on the property. From the Salado Indians 1200 years ago,
I live 20 miles from Tombstone,AZ and all those people roamed this area.
Cochise and Geronimo are both from around here.
The old General store from the town was located on our property and burned down in 1922.
So I have so much to find and look forward to sharing same of it on this forum.
This is my kind of place.

Welcome to the forum HOSS. Indian artifacts and history here locally (FL) is one of my big passions. I've recently taken up metal detecting after visiting Kellyco and they really got me interested with the displays in their showroom and helpful staff. I just love all things history, so I wish I had started MD'ing waaaay earlier!!

Any good finds Metal detecting yet??
