Hi Mike. I don't think it is. However, NO one on this forum can say for sure. Take it to a geologist at a local college or university.

You might want to post this in the fossil section. The pattern on the flat side looks a lot like horn corral but I haven't ever seen it that color. It's really cool, whatever it is.

I would be inclined to say stony meteorite. A density test would help.

Sorry my friend, it is not a meteorite .. raw "hématite" beautiful, a high-density and color of iron, but do not catch the magnet mostly .. I own a beautiful piece of it Sastsmg and enclose the image in your subject to signify. Thits

A density test will help determine this. If this is hematite, you will get a density of ~4.8-5.3 grams per cubic centimeter, depending upon purity of the sample.
