My cousin found this Elk River/Benton in some gravel that someone used for their driveway. The base was lost anciently. Anyways he was looking at it in his garage one day.. His garage has a concrete floor....... He dropped it and it broke into pieces =\ He couldn't find all of them. It was a nice point even missing the base. Love that diagonal flaking.

I dropped a birdy in the garage and looked for it. I stepped on it. Anyway too bad that killer broke.

I let another cousin look at a killer Adena I had just found... He dropped it on the sidewalk. =\ It broke into 3 pieces.

Concrete is not kind. I noticed you said elk river/benton. Sounds like you are near me?

Eh, I'm in southern Indiana. There's a few miles between me and you I think :) We have those point types up here too. Im not sure how far north they go.

I have one good elk river and some nice Bentons. Neat points

In artifact hunting, there's nothing more sad or that makes you feel worse than causing modent damage to an ancient piece!
