Hey guys, some of you requested that I take close up photos of the mineral/rock so it could be easier to see and I took the liberty of doing so. If you could help me out and identify it, that would be great. (I took photos of each side just to be sure, :P

It appears to be boulder opal. You don't say where you found it or where you are from, but this is usually found in Australia.

That is a nice specimen, to aid in identifying it one needs to know the general region where it was found.
If you have a collage nearby take it to the geology dept.

Let us know what it is please.
