If anyone in San Diego was unable to get their valuables out in time before the fires got to you,ive got a metal detector and can try and help recover some. Cant guarantee success, but would love to help.

I'm not sure that the majority of local citizens know of this site, so I would recommend that you leave a post on the Stadium Bulletin Board or at local markets, Home Depot, Target (and the like) and have the people contact you direct.
Several years ago I helped a friend that lost a home in the Laguna fire and most everything metal was a melted lump and not recognizable...even all of the wiring...
Just be ready for a lot of emotions...
