sand question

this will probably sound real stupid to you who live by the shore does sand freeze in the winter like the dirt ground? we have some lakes here with sand beaches didn't know if they would b detectable now. thanks for looking at this. camper

I don't beach hunt all that often but I've never had problems with frozen sand. It does get harder to dig in but nothing like the frozen ground. When I beach hunt it is by the ocean with salt water. I don't know if hunting by a lake would be different since it is most likely fresh water but it still has to be eaier then the ground at this time of year.
