Good question,
I've always hunted these inland volleyball courts whenever I come across them and have never encountered salt signal interference.

Likely, the sand is what is called "playground sand". I imagine it is well washed because residual salt may cause problems with the area surrounding the courts as well as its potential to cause skin irritation in the general public who may be using the courts.

I've searched a few and have had no salt interference.

My experience in sand volleyball courts hasn't been good but that don't mean you can't do well or get lucky

Just my experience here. Most apartment complexes are river sand even in So Cal two miles from the beach. Usually the contractors go a scoop or two long when they order for stucco etc. from the materials suppliers. So you should be OK. Never did much good except around the poles for the net. Most people would just throw everything in the trunk & use the surfers hide a key. You know, lay your door key on top of the front tire.
