The latest storm track according to Accuweather puts landfall for Sandy some place between OC MD and NYC. A storm coming in directly from the east in this area, as this one is predicted to do, is unpresedented. It is a worst case scenerio and could cause massive damage. Instead of taking a desired 5 to 10 feet of sand off the beach it could wipe out the beaches and the towns behind them all together. Not what we want or would wish on our coastal neighbors.

Regardless, if the storm takes this track, evacuation would clear everyone from the coast and access to whatever is left could take days if not weeks. Again, not a good thing for us.

That said, a glancing blow is still a possibility, so batteries are charged!

It's just blowing a bit here, seas are rough. We will probably get some erosion but not a lot. Might run over today to take a peek at things?
