I am not sure about the Stone.
It looks like you found a Good place to hunt, old coins, Gold Rings and lots of trash.
It looks like it has not been hunted to hard.
Lots of trash, most people will not hunt it, they will just move on to greener pastures.

I did some research and a ruby will not refract yellow and green so this is not a ruby. its likely a garnet as I assumed in the first place.
