Went out this morning with two friends to a cut corn field that is known to have given up some relics. The corn stalks were still about 18" or more tall so swinging was a little tough. I found alot of nails and modern farming relics. Then I found this piece of gold. It was almost an eyeball find, because I thought it was apiece of foil. I had gotten a weak signal and saw the back exposed on the ground, I scanned it again and reached down and picked it up. With dirt still on it I thought it was a button, while one friend thought maybe it was some sort of snap. I looked again and cleaned off a little more dirt and could make out the markings. so I hollared "Its Masonic" and did a little happy dance because I figured it was gold from the lack of oxidation or any patina. If anybody has seen anything like this please let me know.
