Saturday wasn't a real good day, BUT............

It was a half real good day! Found my first half real from the 1800's. All the rest are 1700's. Pulled it up at one of my club hunts. Also pulled a silver spoon bowl, interested key fob from the Berkshire Hotel and a couple of lead seals. Some other nice finds were made by others in the club including a really nice 1840 seated half dime, 1864 2 cent piece, well above average NJ copper and a bunch of other stuff. This was not a seeded hunt, but an old farm.

Hit a local recent permission again and came up with more stuff. I thought my silver streak was going to be broken as I only came up with 2 cents. Then I found what appears to be a single stem flower holder. It's 47 grams of sterling and was found in sections about 20 feet apart. I should mention that one of the two cents I found was a Liberty Cap large cent. It's pretty toasted, but hey, I'll take it. Also pulled a crotal bell from the place.

Today I hit a park with a buddy and came up with more silver. The streak continues. It's up to about 15 consecutive outings finding silver. Nothing special, but I'll take 5 pieces of silver in under 3 hours any day.

I think I found a lead seal that is either the exact same or very close to the same. any info on it? I wasn't able to read mine as well! Great finds!

That is a very late date for a Spanish silver. Of the 63 I've dug, all were 1700s except for an 1808 one real.

That's why I mentioned it. All my 1/2, 1 and 2 reales have been from the 1770's and 1780's. Never found one so "new".
