Saturday's Hunt

Hello fellow surf pirates,

Decided to try out another new beach here today and had mixed results. The area was loaded with iron, so it was difficult to pick out those sweet signals. I did manage to get one nice piece of jewelry, and it cleaned up nicely with electrolysis. It looked like gold, but as expected(due to the corrosion), it was only plated. Now I wonder if they used real rubies in a piece of plated jewelry. I also found another pulltab that will compete for the distinction of Most Corroded Pulltab.

When I dug up the batmobile, all I could think of was part of an only song I recall singing as a kid,
"The batmobile lost a wheel,
and the Joker got away! Hey!"

In addition to the pictured, I found a lot of strange trash pieces and about a buck in change. Also met a fella who grew up in that particular area, and had some very interesting information about growing up there. Something about picking up silver dollars off the beach after storms. Said he thinks he got them all, because he doesn't see them anymore there. But we all know better, right?

Should make note also that yesterday I hit the motherload. Once I get the article back from the jewelers(it was well worth a professional cleaning), I will make a post about it. Some have seen it, and all I will say for now is - simply one of the greatest things I ever expect to find. I can only hope to match this in the future. I also hope you all have the opportunity to find something this super.

May all your hunts be golden,
Anthony

The first picture is the heart before electrolysis.
