i have always saved wheaties if only for the fact that i love the design on them and because they are getting tougher to find in circulation.

Re: Save Wheaties?

You save coins for reasons known only to you. I save all my IH and Wheaties just because I found them. They are separated into years and I add to them when I find more. Some day the Zinc cent will be worth more too, just because most will be corroded.

You can find a fairly ready market for wheaties, even common ones, at 3 cents or so apiece. Right now it is hard to find anyone to buy pre 82 lincoln memorial coppers.

Some morning I am just going to coinstar and dump em all and get em out of my life! :D

I have plastic coffee cans labeled 1909-1919 1920-1929 etc... full coming out of my ears. Nobody wants to pay for them. Annoyance to me :dontknow:

I may just give them away as a prize to the kids who come here in the summer or to my club to raffle off. Hmmm

You say nobody wants to pay for them,,,, how much are ya askin?? I see the things selling on ebay all of the time for anywhere from .03 to .10 ea all the time, and you make them pay for shipping as well. The earlier ones (pre 35 or so) should sell pretty quick on the high end of the price range. I guess it all depends on how you approach the sales job on ebay... Good luck, Gpurs.
