Well this button was almost lost to a bull dozer. It looks like the shank has been cut off by it though. I found a few other odds and ends and this site but it is not to be any more. The construction guys have it covered in 10-15 inches of tamped soil. Looks like more history lost at least for the next 100 plus years. Also if anyone knows what the second item is give me a shout. I'm thinking some sort of token. I will post it in the was is it as we'll.
Thanks for looking

Don't you just hate it when you knew that there was more stuff there? I once bribed a backhoe operator at a construction site that was close to being done with their ground work to dig for me. Cost me $20 cash and a case of beer to dig me a deep hole and help me with collecting bottles at a bottle dump site that dated from 1890-05. I came home with a Jeep full of good bottles! Hutchinsons, Straight sided sodas, embossed drug store bottles, and a blob top colbalt blue soda from Savannah Ga. etc. Best case of beer that I ever bought. :icon_thumright:
