I just read an article about Saving nickels by David hathaway. In the article, it claimed that the only money in circulation worth saving is nickels. It advises us to not go to the banks and buy large amounts of nickels because it will send up a red flag to the bankers, who then will alert their tellers of people hoarding ncikels and they will add a handling cost to them. Rather, go to several banks and buy small amounts of nickels. He advises no more than $20 at a time to avoid suspicion. In 2013 the feds are changing the nickel composition form 75% copper and 25% nickel, to some other metal of undesirable worth. From dollar bills to pennies, none have any worth, as far as actual raw material value, except nickels. Just don't start a stampede to the banks or soon the nickels will be pulled out of the banks and stored in large warehouses and no one will get any. Good Luck. rockhound
