Got back to the park I've been hunting on and off now for the past two weeks and pulled a couple of interesting finds! :icon_thumright: For the most part I feel this park has never seen a metal detector as I'm digging a good signal every few feet, mostly pennies though! :laughing7: Unfortunately, no silver coins today :'( , but I did manage to find a Sterling Silver Thimble! This beauty was about 6" down and is really sweet! :o It was made by James Swann of Birmingham, England in 1907.

I found a lot of mid-1940's & '50's pennies, a 1944 & '45 Wheat and a 1943 Canadian 'Victory' Nickel . . . my first. I also found a lot of keys, including a broken skeleton key, a couple of buttons, a 'rusted out' pocket knife and around $2.00 in change. ;D

Thanks for looking and best of luck to you!
Dave

Nice thimble. Funny that pennies seem to show up first. I have been working a site for 2 years. Mostly wheat pennies first, then silver started to trickle in. Have now found over fifty silvers. Moral is ,never give up on a site. Good job.

That thimble is a beauty! I do have to comment on the name "emesis." I worked in healthcare for 11.5 years, and we were never allowed to document that a resident (patient) had an emesis. Only a doctor, and maybe the nurses, could. So a person could puke all over the place and it could only be described by us laypersons as an "apparent emesis." Nothing against using it as a name, mind you; it just brought that memory flooding back ;D.
