Hit a large woodchip play area located on the premises of a school. Haven't been there since last year, and it showed.
Found a very small 18k ring, another 14k ring, a .925 silver cross, and some hair clip thing which looks nice, but fake.
Also found a very nice little knuckle knife that certainly would have gotten any kid suspended for months if caught.
Found a pile of clad too totalling $7 or so. Was still getting dings galore when some little kids headed over, so I moved on to give them the run of the place.

Great finds for a school yard... ::)

I too found a folding knife in a school yard last year, I thought it was some kind of large nutcracker tool until I opened. It was a gruesome, ugly and rough made in China device...

I threw it away after showing it to my co-workers...

It would not have been good to find the kid who owned that knife on a dark street...

Yup gotta love them woodchips, though my heart is in the older stuff of course.
I just got a Minelab Quattro to take care of that, but haven't had the chance to mess with it yet.
I'm keeping the 250, as its a perfect woodchip hunter - Light, accurate and great depth not really necessary.
I think the Quattro would be over-kill in a tot lot anyhow.

Scary to think that it was probaly a rambunctious little one that dropped it in the first place.

Great finds!

Great lookin' jewelry xray and congrat's on getting that piece of crap off the schoolyard.Couple week's back some kid brought his dad's gun into a "DAYCARE" and shot some little girl in the arm,She's ok,but all kinda charge's are still pending. This happened less than a mile from my son's daycare.Sad but true,You never know these day's.

Nice Jewelry ;). That knife just makes you wonder what kind of life this family leads, he had to have gotten from someone close, I don't think a little kid would have money to buy something like that and I would hope a store owner wouldn't sell to a little kid. :'( Glad to see you got it out of there. :)
