Was out in a small town about 40 miles from home doing some work and thought I'd stop at the couple banks they had there. Scored the following :

2 x 1968 halves
9 x Ike's
5 x silver eagles. Score!!!

The eagles I got at face. A buck each. Some kid had just cashed them in 10 minutes before I walked in. I am still amazed. I have not scored any eagles for face before.

When I got back in town thought I'd stop at my one local coin shop to see if he was open ( which he makes his own hrs. Never opens like normal business) and he was open. Scored a single 2013 eagle for spot. $29

So today was a great day. I have been having a lot of skunks lately so this was nice to get out of the rut.

Here are some pics as I know everyone likes pics. The 3 colored eagles are 2000 and the other 2 are 1986 and 1995. For $5.

The top one is the 2013 I got at $29. He only had one. Ugh!

Enjoy

I'm not partial to the coloring but can't complain for what I paid. Lol. I put them in the cases. They did not come that way.

Did you take a magnet to them? Are there any fakes circulating?

I am a bit doubtful, since a kid would never see an ASE before, so how could he know they are legal tender?

I am sure when the female teller said kid she was meaning young. The teller was an older woman and I'm 40. She had that old lady perfume on that can clear a room. Lol
