Firstly thank to Land-Mag for the lift in the nifty 4x4 to the various fields.
I spent 2 hours on 2 new fields on a hill which looked really good, but the only sign I got was a possible copper-core to a Gold Stater. The field next to it had a crop-mark that looked pre-historic, & probably was because I got no signs there either.
Then Land-Mag & I went across the road to the Virgin Roman Site, but it still wasn't ploughed up. But being our best chance we gave it an hour & a bit:
5 Scrappies
17th C Oval Buckle
Spec Buckle
Tin & copper-plugged Farthing
Lead Cloth Seal
Copper-Core to Celtic Gold Stater (80% sure??)
At least I know where not to go tomorrow!
