Got a short hunt in, no gold this time...a silver(925)chain and pearl pendant saved the day!! A 1948 nickel surpriseingly in good shape and a couple of trinkets. My wife did the tooth test on the pearl and is real!! HH hunting and I hope u get the gold!!

Very nice find but I'm ignorant on what the tooth test for a pearl would be, can you elaborate for us newbies?

Cliff, I'm sure there are other profesional ways to test pearls...but we were told that if you scraped you tooth edge on the pearl and it has a gritty feeling than most likely it is real, a fake pearl bead will slide smoothly.
