Searching my recent finds and found a silver cent

Found this late last year and never posted it. It's 1/3 of a silver trime, making it my smallest silver coin to date (guess that makes it a silver cent :dontknow: Found with the CTX3030 at about 6" deep. Signal was a bit choppy but still pretty clear and repeatable. Looks like plow damage rather than a cut coin, but who knows.

I did grid the area a little, but nothing tuned up. The other two pieces will be even smaller and if they were on edge, I doubt and machine would read them.

Wow,when one can pick up one third of a three cent piece at 6 inches deep in the ground is simply awesome,since that coin is the smallest coin in U.S. production even in whole condition. Great dig there.

That's a hellava dig at 2" let alone at 6" !!!!!!

Nice finds I found a coin spill once kept finding coins then nothing since then when I find a good find Ill clear and loosen the dirt around the find amazing how that works to find more finds in the same hole. Maybe you could find the other pieces just a thought Good Job
